International bakery business, Carrs Foods, has announced the appointment of Tim Boote to the newly created role of Marketing Director as the business continues to grow, both at home and abroad.
Based at Carrs Foods’ head office in Manchester, Tim Boote will lead on the brand strategy for Carrs Foods and the brands within its portfolio, which include Paul Hollywood, St Pierre and Baker Street.
Tim Boote brings a vast amount of expertise in growing brands in International markets, where previous roles include leading marketing teams at large multinational businesses such as Kellogg’s and PZ Cussons.
Commenting on Tim Boote’s appointment, Jeremy Gilboy, Managing Director of Carrs Foods said: “Tim’s appointment reflects the continued success of the business and our plans for future growth. We have continued to grow year-on-year and the creation of this new marketing role supports our significant expansion plans, in both the home and overseas markets. Carrs Foods is an international market leader in the bakery sector and has achieved significant year-on-year growth, with a forecast turnover that is expected to be moving towards £50m in 2017. The business grew across all sectors in 2016 – both at home, up 8.5%, and in overseas markets, where exports were up 279% from 2015 to 2016.
