Manchester’s WhiteNoise Media brings sparkle to a more affordable Christmas

UK discount department store The Original Factory Shop has joined forces with Manchester agency WhiteNoise Media to promote their Christmas offers to a mass audience through online content.

Wanting to place the spotlight on their array of Big Brands at up to 70% off RRP, while positively capturing the spirit of the season, The Original Factory Shop sought an agency that could communicate this in a video format.

WhiteNoise Media’s innovative ideas, along with their high standards of work, sealed the deal for The Original Factory Shop. They were commissioned to produce a 60-second advert and three 15-second social assets, shot in a homely setting using The Original Factory Shop products.

Lee Holdsworth, CEO of WhiteNoise Media, said: “The Original Factory Shop came to us as they wanted high quality content to raise their game during the busy festive retail period. Despite being exclusively for online we haven’t held back on production value, producing a piece of content that our client can be proud of and which will capture the attention of their target audience.”

The feature video presents a Christmas scene of a mother and father enjoy watching their two children unwrap a present each on Christmas Eve, and the next morning the excited kids wake their parents up early.

Christmas Day brings matching pyjamas and festive jumpers, as well as more gift unwrapping, each of which is accompanied by the price of the item and any savings off the RRP. A sparkle effect is used to give it a magical feel, while still giving viewers an accurate presentation of the gifts.

Alison Palmer, Interim Marketing Manager at The Original Factory Shop, said: “With tight timings and budget White Noise have produced a great advert for us, which has really wide appeal. It captures warmth, emotion, breadth of range and shows we have products for the whole family. Already we’re seeing great engagement with it from our customers.”

The completed videos have been released on The Original Factory Shop’s social media channels, including Facebook and YouTube, with plans to boost their reach to over one million people in the run-up to Christmas using paid advertising.
