One of the largest digital marketing agencies in the North East has moved offices to accommodate its ongoing headcount growth.

Mediaworks, which has operated in Team Valley since it was founded in 2007, has relocated its team of over 100 colleagues to the Honeycomb at The Watermark in Gateshead as it continues to expand. The move offers Mediaworks the capacity to occupy office space of up to 20,000 sq. ft, while the agency has signed a 10-year lease as it continues to go from strength to strength.

In 2018, Mediaworks has welcomed over 30 new faces to its ranks as it continues to grow, supporting an ever-increasing number of clients to enhance their digital visibility via channels including Paid Search (PPC), Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Online Reputation Management (ORM), Web Development and Content Marketing.

Mediaworks’ managing director, Brett Jacobson, acknowledges that the move is necessary if the business is to continue its rapid growth. He said: “Having greatly increased our headcount in the last 12 months, we really needed a move to facilitate our ongoing expansion. As we continue our growth and keep looking for new business to help us reach our existing targets, it’s important to have a space that accommodates this and enable us to continue our development. The move to the Honeycomb at The Watermark gives us that and it’s certainly exciting times ahead for everyone involved with Mediaworks.”


Not only do the new offices allow Mediaworks to continue scaling its team of digital experts, it also provides greater thinking space to the creative team with individual huddle hubs, a welcoming open office for new and existing clients and increased workspace for their service teams.

Exclusive additions to the new Mediaworks HQ include a brand-spanking new social space that will let the whole team take a break from their digital platforms to unwind. Meanwhile, the new Town Hall — an 80+ seater auditorium — will allow teams to deliver expert industry and marketing advice, including the monthly Mediaworks Masterclasses.

Mediaworks new offices have been superbly designed and timely delivered by the teams at Design North and APTUS as well as expert contract administration support by Mableson Hall.

The move in location also allows Mediaworks to be in the midst of all transport connections. Being just a stone’s throw from the A1 for simple driving connections, on the doorstep of the MetroCentre Train Station and a short trip from the Airport all mean the Mediaworks team are even closer to supporting any needs that their regional, national and international clients may have.
