North East business woman, Anna Stonehouse, prepares to launch new makeup brand ‘Moonstone’. The mineral based cosmetics have been formulated, created and tested in the North East and is set to expand on to a national scale. The range is carefully manufactured in Allendale, Northumberland where salon owner Anna Stonehouse is located. With mineral makeup becoming a popular alternative to chemical based products, Anna believed it was the perfect time to launch the Moonstone range.
Using her passion for beauty, in 2011 Anna opened Natural Beauty – her own salon in the heart of Allendale. Since the company opened its doors it has gone from strength to strength, developing a range of services, including waxing, massaging, tanning and beauty therapy. The salon became a huge hit with the locals and people of surrounding areas. Whilst her salon is becoming increasingly popular, Anna is confident that now is the ideal time to branch out in to mineral cosmetics.
After working with makeup for a number of years, Anna has developed a keen passion in creating her own products and designing makeup to benefit different skin types and shades. Anna’s determination has allowed her to complete courses and classes to become a certified professional makeup expert and is preparing for her next venture into the cosmetics industry.
The mineral based makeup is manufactured using natural, long-lasting ingredients and includes a range of products including foundation, blusher, bronzer, highlighter, eyeshadows and lip balms (made naturally with beeswax and cocoa butter). With the demand for mineral makeup rising, Moonstone is the perfect range to provide people with a natural look which is on trend for young and old generations.
The main objective of the brand is to be recognised as a luxury collection at an affordable price. The brand is set to launch in September, where it will be available to purchase on the Moonstone Cosmetics website.
Cosmetics maker Anna said “There is no better feeling than creating something unique that you are passionate about. I have been lucky enough to get the opportunity to create my own makeup and I hope everyone loves all the products as much as I do. I am very excited for future of the Moonstone brand.”
She added: “I have always had a passion for makeup – I love the different colours you can create. One of the main reasons I decided to create mineral makeup is because of how well the colours blend and how natural it makes the skin look. My faviourite part in makeup is creating the different eyeshadow palettes because of how rich and vibrant the colours are.”
From beginning of manufacturing to now, creating Moonstone cosmetics has been a long and challenging process which was important to get right and has now been perfected for its audience. Now, after a lot of hard work, Anna has been able to create something unique and is ready for the product launch to go ahead.
