New Care has strengthened its management team at Wilmslow Manor, on Handforth Road, with the appointment of Jo Hassey as Deputy Manager and Bobby Head as Head of Care.
In her new role, Jo is tasked with supporting the home manager, overseeing new resident admissions and any discharges, as well as being responsible for the general wellbeing of the residents and team at Wilmslow Manor.
Previously a clinical nurse, Jo has achieved several accreditations during her care career, including RGN, DlpSin and V300 Nurse Prescriber.
Commenting on her appointment as Deputy Manager, Jo says: “New Care is renowned for delivering exceptional care, as well as creating community spirit within its homes. Staff are fully supported and there are plenty of career progression opportunities, which is great to see. Wilmslow Manor is a beautiful care facility with wonderful residents and a talented team; it’s super to be part of this.”
For Bobby, the welfare of the residents at Wilmslow Manor is her priority, ensuring they receive safe, effective, dignified person-centred care, all whilst living a fun and fulfilled life at the care home.
Bobby not only supports residents, but also the staff, helping to create a positive environment within the home from which all will benefit.
Having worked in care homes for a number of years as a Team Leader, Bobby was attracted to New Care due to the commitment it provides for its employees, encouraging progression within the company, and its ethos of treating everyone with respect and kindness.
Bobby adds: “It’s great to work for a company that actively encourages career progression. I have lots to learn still and I want to improve my knowledge as well as complete my Level 5 NVQ qualification. Knowing I can do all of this, plus much more, with New Care is important to me. I am already really enjoying my new role at Wilmslow Manor and hope to make a real difference at the care home.”

Jo lives in Lancashire and spends her free time walking her four dogs, watching a good thriller or drama, and catching up with her three boys.
Bobby, who lives in Bramhall, loves to bake, listen to music, walk and watch movies. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends and is a massive foodie.
