Europe’s largest digital healthcare company the Now Healthcare Group (NHG), has appointed Alun Lucas as Head of E-Commerce, two months after the business launched Now Patient, the NHS approved digital healthcare service app which allows patients to manage their medicines, order repeat prescriptions and connect with a GP anywhere for free.
In three years since it was established, the Now Healthcare Group, based at MediaCityUK in Manchester, has disrupted the digital health market with its innovative tech and digital solutions and saw its Now Patient app hit the No1 download spot on the app store only four weeks after launching.
Alun, who has an MBA, has significant business experience in the digital and technology sectors and has worked at Google and WPP, supporting clients such as EE and General Motors. He has also worked as a VC and managed investments and consultancy for small and growing businesses.

The NHG became the first provider its field to be found by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the government’s regulatory body for healthcare services, to be providing services that are safe, responsive, effective, well-led and caring. All doctors working for the platform are MRCGP-certified and hold current contracts with the NHS.
