New Manchester Property Development will have “true village neighbourhood feel”

Residential property developers, LPC living, say their latest development in Greater Manchester will capture the old school community spirit that too many new developments lack.

With the final phase currently available for sale, The Oaks is a boutique development of just 26 houses set in a private gated development in one of South Manchester’s most sought after suburbs.

Gatley is a vibrant south Manchester village, with a variety of cafes, bars, restaurants and shops are on your doorstep. The village also provided easy access to Manchester city centre and the wider region.

Set amongst private landscaped grounds, all homes at the Oaks have been designed to provide flexible living spaces. Many homes have bright living areas and separate open-plan kitchen/dining/family rooms opening out onto private rear gardens.

LPC Living said: “From the moment you pass the secure gates into The Oaks you will feel at home. Designed as a tranquil enclave, a central green forms the heart of this development – a landscaped garden that offers the perfect setting for just 26 homes. At the same time, you are still just moments away from the wide range of amenities that Gately and its surrounding villages provide, offering you the best of both worlds.”

Why the emphasis on “community spirit”? The disappearance of community spirit been in the news a lot of the last half decade or so. One recent report announced that 70% of UK residents now admit they don’t know who lives next door, and only 6% say community spirit is strong in their area.

The survey highlighted people’s perceptions of life in the UK, with 83 per cent agreeing that it was a ‘kinder place’ when their parents were their age.

This fresh development hopes to attract a more friendly, community environment in one of Greater Manchester most popular residential regions.
