Newcastle’s GetFilm goes from strength to strength

Video production company GetFilm is building on its recent success and increasing the size of its Newcastle-based team. Two new colleagues Sasha Tuck and Tris Douglas have just been welcomed on board by the company.

Demand for GetFilm’s services has grown rapidly over the last twelve months. Originally founded to produce corporate videos in the North East, they now provide corporate, wedding, special event and promotional film-making services to clients across the UK. Hence the need to increase their head office team. The success of GetFilm reflects the strength of the technology and digital sector in the North East.

Sasha and Tris bring considerable sales experience to their new roles:

Sasha Tuck joins GetFilm to manage the wedding video side of the business. Demand for wedding videos has grown swiftly over the last year, with the GetFilm team capturing hundreds of weddings throughout the North East of England and beyond. Sasha previously worked in the sales team at Stag and Hen specialists Last Night of Freedom.

Tris Douglas joins GetFilm from Tynedale Golf Club, where, as assistant manager, he helped increase membership numbers. Tris joins the rapidly expanding business development team, driving corporate videography throughout the North East of England and further afield.

Managing Director Josh Kerr said: “We are pleased to welcome Sasha and Tris to the team. The last year has been an exciting time for GetFilm and this dynamic duo have the skills and experience to help us develop the company even further over the coming months.”

Established in 2013, GetFilm has grown to employ a large production team across the United Kingdom. Founded by Josh Kerr and Rob Earnshaw after they identified a gap in the market for affordable corporate videos, their clients now include household names such as Lloyds Banking Group, BBC Radio 6, Hilton, EDF Energy and Virgin Money.
