North East eco-friendly cosmetics brand celebrates first year success

One year on from the launch of the natural cosmetics range ‘Moonstone’, Anna Stonehouse celebrates its huge success.

The Northumberland based make-up range has gained tremendous growth in its first year. Popular across the North East, the organic cosmetics brand is receiving great reviews. The company has seen a continuous growth in revenue which has allowed the business to expand its offerings and develop its recipes according to popular customer trends.

As sustainability and eco-friendly living is a major priority for many customers, Moonstone cosmetics has responded to this and adapted the entire range to be organic and contain all-natural ingredients.

What began as a profitable cosmetics range with products including foundation, blusher, bronzer, highlighter, eye shadow and lip balm, has now expanded into a full skincare range. Now, offering face and body butters, eye cream, scrubs and cleansers.


Anna wanted to create a makeup and skincare range which is centred around minerals and herbs. As a result, she has incorporated herbs into many of her new skincare products, such as lavender, chamomile, geranium, rose and eyebright. Each product is formulated with these ingredients at the heart and tested without using any chemicals.

Anna has commented “As there are many amazing benefits of herbs on the skin, I decided to grow my own and infuse them into different oils to make a range of skincare.”

“I like to keep everything as natural as possible, one of the most effective herbs I’ve used so far is lemon balm infused into the lip balm which is amazing for cold sores and dry lips!”.

The brand has received overwhelming support and will continue to develop its range in response to this consumer demand.

In 2020 Anna will be focusing on creating more herbal skincare, as well as a bridal eyeshadow collection.

To increase sales and ROI the company has developed an ecommerce website where customers can find the whole range.
