North West Caravan Company At Forefront Of Latest Trend For British Holidaymakers

A surge in the number of British caravan holidays taking place has given rise to this year’s National Camping & Caravanning Week theme: ‘New To Camping’.

The date is set: National Camping and Caravanning Week 2020 will take place from 25th – 31st May.

The week is run each year by The Camping and Caravanning Club and is set to be an exciting time for the industry.

As the club explains: ‘National Camping and Caravanning Week (NCCW) is the Club’s annual celebration of camping, caravanning and the great outdoors. It aims to get the British public engaged with camping and caravanning, and to raise the profile of our great hobby’.

Last year’s launch saw President of The Camping and Caravanning Club Julia Bradbury celebrating the 100th anniversary of the caravan by spending the night in an Eccles 560 on a floating campsite on the Thames.

The upcoming National Camping & Caravanning Week is an exciting time for Samco Caravans and the caravan industry as an increasing number of people look to purchase touring caravans and motorhomes.

Samco Caravans have seen the rise in popularity of touring caravan holidays for themselves. They buy, sell and store used touring caravans including the popular 2 berth caravans for sale at their North West site.

‘It’s been a fantastic time for the British caravan industry’ explains Samco Caravans Director, Sam Cohen.

Touring caravans make a perfect fit for this newfound trend, as they offer up the advantage of low-cost and affordable holidaying.

A recent, independent report has found that the Camping and Caravanning Industry generated a staggering £9.3 billion in 2019 as an increasing number of holidaymakers choose traditional holidays over going abroad.

‘The Brexit vote resulted in the weakening of the pound, making it more expensive than ever for the average British family to holiday abroad. As a result, Brits are now going on more frequent, shorter holidays within the UK.’

National Camping and Caravanning Week 2020 will take place from 25th – 31st May.
