North of England business advisory firm Ryecroft Glenton (RG) has strengthened its tax advisory capability with the appointment of experienced private client specialist Laura Dickson as Director.
The move reflects the firm’s continued investment in senior talent as demand grows for joined-up financial and tax advice across the region’s entrepreneurial and family-owned businesses.
Laura brings more than 20 years’ experience in private client tax, having trained at PwC where she qualified as a Chartered Tax Adviser before moving into senior leadership roles within regional independent firms, most recently Haines Watts (now S&W).
Her work focuses on helping individuals and families structure their affairs efficiently and plan for the future, including succession and retirement planning, as well as Inheritance Tax reviews. She also works closely with financial advisers to ensure tax strategies align with wider long-term financial goals.
The appointment strengthens RG’s 23-strong tax service line, which now includes three Partners and four Directors, and supports the firm’s wider advisory model as businesses and individuals navigate an increasingly complex fiscal landscape.
Laura Dickson said: “RG has built a strong reputation for long-term client relationships and genuinely tailored advice. That client-led approach was a major attraction for me, alongside the firm’s commitment to professional development and collaboration across service lines.
“The ability to work closely with colleagues in corporate finance, audit and accounting means we can give clients well-rounded advice that considers the bigger picture. I’m looking forward to supporting clients and contributing to the continued growth of the tax offering.”
Emma Reilly, Tax Partner at RG, added: “As tax matters become increasingly complex, clients are looking for clear and practical guidance rather than purely technical answers.
“Laura’s experience and advisory mindset strengthen the depth of expertise within our team and reinforce our commitment to helping clients plan confidently for the future.”
RG advises owner-managed businesses, entrepreneurs and private clients across the North of England, with continued investment in specialist expertise forming a key part of its growth strategy.
