Sharks’ and Colin Maclachlan to host Business Club event

Former Special Air Service soldier and prisoner of war, Colin Maclachlan, is headlining a special event with Sale Sharks in Wilmslow to discuss his experiences as a member of Mountain Troop 22 SAS.

The soldier, who is now a motivational speaker and also took part in Channel 4’s SAS Who Dares Wins, will offer his insight into leadership in the face of adversity and the maintenance of peak levels of performance as a team unit.

Sale Sharks’ Commercial Director, Mark Cueto, will lead the discussion, which will also delve into the trials and tribulations of Maclachlan’s career and discuss the importance of having a determination to succeed.

Hosted at the Rolls-Royce & McLaren showroom in Wilmslow, the event will take place on Wednesday, May 15, and is the final Business Club event of the season for the Premiership Rugby team, following a host of popular and well-attended events throughout 2018/19.

“This event will be the perfect way to round off our Business Club programme for the season – Colin is an inspirational speaker with advice and experiences that can be utilised by our network of business professionals”, said Mark Cueto.

“This talk is something completely different to any other speaker we have had this year, as we continue to adapt and expand our offering. Colin will be able to offer an insight into everything from the SAS to his leadership expertise, with a fascinating career to draw experience from.”

The event will also be attended by two Sharks players; South African international, Rohan Van Rensburg and Manchester-born Cameron Neild, as the season draws to a close.

“It will be another brilliant event that we’re proud to host through our growing Business Club and we’re expecting a big turnout. We hope to see lots of people there for the event, and to enjoy a drink and network.”

The event is free to attend.
