Shulmans Partner Appointed Chair of British Council for Offices NextGen Committee

Richard Robinson, a partner at Leeds-based corporate law firm Shulmans LLP has been named as the new chairman of the British Council for Offices’ (BCO) Northern Next Gen Committee.

Formerly a vice-chair of the committee, Robinson, who is part of Shulmans’ highly-regarded property litigation team, will be responsible for bringing together key stakeholders in the property sector to promote and support young talent in the North.

The BCO is a national organisation that aims to research, develop and communicate best practice in all aspects of the office sector. The BCO’s NextGen programme sets out to mentor and encourage the next generation of professionals to become future leaders in the industry, whilst providing a nation-wide platform for new talent to share ideas.

Robinson’s new appointment positions Shulmans firmly at the centre of developments in the real estate sector and ideally placed to shape future conversations. The firm’s work with this and other organisations including REVO, the British Property Federation and the Leeds Chamber of Commerce will ensure that Shulmans is ahead of new developments, trends and opportunities.

Robinson said: “During my time as vice-chair of the committee, I have had the pleasure of helping to showcase major northern office developments such as Kirkstall Forge and Platform in Leeds. I am delighted to have been made chairman and look forward to continuing to promote the best that the North has to offer.”
