SWGR appoints new regional sales manager as part of ambitious growth strategy

Multi-disciplinary services provider SWGR has appointed Daniel Lovett-Horn as its new regional sales manager, as part of its ambitious growth strategy for its regional operations.

Primarily based in SWGR’s Fountain Street offices in Manchester, Daniel will be responsible for developing SWGR’s service offering across England, creating bespoke service packages for existing customers and exploring new opportunities with potential customers.

SWGR was established in 1988 as a provider of welding and construction engineering resources to the oil and petrochemical sectors. Over the years, it has evolved into a truly multi-disciplinary service provider for organisations in the infrastructure sectors, and currently offers services ranging from legislative qualifications, training, manpower provision, minor works contracting, PPE provision, disaster recovery and occupational health services.

Daniel has an extensive background in sales, working for recruitment agencies and payroll service providers. Prior to joining SWGR he spent 10 years with umbrella accounting and payroll business ICS as sales manager.

On joining SWGR, Daniel said: “I am very excited to be taking on this new role with SWGR, which I believe is a fantastic opportunity for me to demonstrate my skills in a new environment.

“The company is very ambitious and I am looking forward to helping it achieve success, through building on our existing client base and extending the portfolio of many of our customers with further specialist services.

“My main role will be to work with our customers to develop bespoke solutions that will help them in different areas, such as compliance and payroll, as well as the labour supplies we have traditionally provided. Working closely with clients to help them achieve their requirements is important to me and I will use my customer service skills to ensure all businesses working with SWGR achieve the highest standards of services and customer care.”

As part of its growth strategy and ongoing development programme SWGR has created 12 new full-time positions as it hopes to increase awareness of its specialist service offerings. The industrial supplies arm of its business, SWGR Industrial Supplies, also recently opened a brand-new showroom and store, creating a one-stop facility for all Glasgow-based businesses to purchase a wide range of high-quality industrial supplies.

Terry Flynn, managing director of SWGR, said: “This is an exciting time to be part of our business as we are building on our existing reputation with a range of development plans.

“Daniel has been brought into the business to expand our sales provision within England. He will drive our growth strategy in the southern regions, looking to improve our performance and efficiency when delivering for key clients, as well as exploring opportunities for business with new customers. I am delighted to welcome him to the business and wish him every success during his career with us.”

In his spare time Daniel is a keen musician, playing guitar in a heavy rock band.
