The Leeds Apprentice Challenge

Leeds Mencap’s corporate challenge returns for a fifth year with an exciting twist!

The Leeds Mencap Apprentice Challenge is back and the charity are recruiting teams from the business world in Leeds to get involved and demonstrate their creative and entrepreneurial skills and to battle it out for the top spot. Just how much money could you make from a £50 loan, with only seven weeks to do it?

Taking part in the challenge raises much-needed funds for people with learning disabilities, whilst also providing a fantastic opportunity to improve team-working skills and fulfil corporate social responsibility aims. In partnership with AQL once more, Leeds Mencap is hoping to build on the success of previous years with a competition that is bigger and better and with extra prizes for the most unusual and funniest ways to raise money!

Prof. Adam Beaumont CEO & Founder of aql has said this of supporting the challenge;
“We at aql are very happy to partner with Leeds Mencap again to bring the city’s businesses together to raise money and awareness for learning disabilities, and we’re delighted to host the grand finale of the fifth annual Apprentice Challenge here at Salem Chapel.”

As a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Leeds Mencap are also delighted that Mark Goldstone, Head of Business Representation & Policy at The Chamber will be returning as a judge on the panel. He has said this of the Leeds Mencap’s exciting corporate charity challenge;

“This challenge is an enjoyable and fresh way for businesses in Leeds to make a social impact and meet their internal engagement objectives as well as doing something great for a worthwhile cause. I would urge businesses in Leeds to get a team together and get involved.”

Leeds Mencap is extending an open invite to businesses both small and large to take part in the competition to be named Leeds Mencap Apprentice Champions 2018!
