The Technology Group go the distance

The team at Yorkshire-based communications provider The Technology Group pounded the pavements last weekend as they took part in the Yorkshire Marathon Relay.

The team of six were running to raise money for the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, which works to support children’s health and wellbeing initiatives and improve the lives of those with cancer.

David Marsden, Ben Morgan, Michael Walker, Jenny O’Brien, Anna O’Donnell and Madi Caudwell, completed the corporate challenge in 3 hours 59 minutes and have so far raised a fantastic £860 for the charity, with donations still being taken.
David Marsden, the group’s Co-Founder and Acquisitions Director, said: “I’m so proud of the team and what we have achieved. We have a real mix of experienced and novice runners, with everyone putting the time into training and raising money for a very worthy cause. The crowds that lined the streets were fantastic, their support really kept us going. This is such a well organised and fun event, I’m sure we’ll be back to take part in next year’s marathon.”

As well as taking part in the relay, The Technology Group are proud to sponsor the Jane Tomlinson’s Run for All’s Leeds and Sheffield Half Marathons team challenges, as well as being the charity’s main communications partner. The group has also donated £11,000 worth of communication services over the last six years.

The Technology Group is a next generation unified communication’s business, headquartered in Leeds with offices in London and Welwyn Garden City. The company has 42 staff, 900+ customers, global telephony solutions in 22 countries and counts Oxford College, Rugby School, the NHS and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust among its clients.
