West Yorkshire Funeral Director Named UK’s Best

Full Circle Funerals has topped off a whirlwind year by scooping one of the funeral industry’s most prestigious awards and being named as the Best Modern Funeral Director in the UK, just 12 months after opening its doors in Guiseley.

The Good Funeral Awards 2017 recognise the very best funeral directors, ministers and crematoriums, and assure customers that they will receive an exceptional level of service when they use an award-winning company. This year’s prizes were presented at a glittering awards ceremony at the Porchester Hall in London.

Full Circle Funerals opened in September 2016, with the aim of combining choice and flexibility with transparent pricing, so that people feel empowered to create meaningful funerals, throughout Wharfedale, Harrogate, Leeds and Bradford. The company is the brainchild of former doctor Sarah Jones, and it now employs a team of four at premises on Otley Road, close to Guiseley’s White Cross Roundabout.

Sarah says: “We launched Full Circle because we knew there was a place for a company that could provide a very personalised planning experience, regardless of whether people want a traditional or modern funeral. Our offering has proved to be extremely popular and we’ve had a really busy first year.

“To top this off by winning such a significant award, in such a short space of time since opening, is fantastic news for everyone concerned with Full Circle. We always place a huge amount of emphasis on providing a top-quality service, at a very difficult time for people, and to have our efforts recognised with this prestigious award has completely outstripped our expectations and is a wonderful endorsement for our service.”

Fran Hall, CEO of The Good Funeral Guide, which is a definitive list of the UK’s best funeral companies, and organiser of The Good Funeral Awards, says: “We were delighted that Full Circle Funerals has been named Best Modern Funeral Director 2017 in this year’s Good Funeral Awards. Sarah, David and the team are revolutionising the way that funerals are carried out in Guiseley and the surrounding areas, and we can’t think of a more deserving company to be awarded this accolade.”

Earlier this year Full Circle Funerals became the first funeral service operating in the Wharfedale, Harrogate, Leeds and Bradford areas to be included in The Good Funeral Guide. The select list described Full Circle as one of the best new progressive undertakers in the country and consists of less than 100 funeral directors throughout England and Scotland.

The company also recently became the first funeral service outside London to acquire a state of the art electric hearse, to complement the range of traditional funeral vehicles that the company offers.
