Yorkshire law firm takes on the Great North Run

Harvey Harding, Laura Morley and Evie Warner will be tackling the Great North Run.

A team of three from Sheffield-based PM Property Lawyers will tackle the Great North Run in September in aid of the Support Dogs charity. And Managing Director Harvey Harding will be donning a dog suit for the whole 13.1 miles.

Trainee property lawyer Laura Morley and accounts assistant Evie Warner will join Harvey for the half marathon, though they have opted for a more usual running kit.

The trio aim to raise £2000 for the Support Dogs charity. Support Dogs provides specially trained assistance dogs for people affected by autism, epilepsy and physical disability. It operates nationwide, but the headquarters are close to the PM Property Lawyers office in Sheffield and the firm is a regular supporter.

“It’s a fantastic charity which really improves quality of life for the people they support,” Laura comments. “And doing the Great North Run is also a great opportunity for me to get back in shape. I’ve gone from couch potato to half marathon fit in nine weeks!”

Evie also wanted to set herself a challenge. “I’ve always wanted to do the Great North Run so when the opportunity came up to do it for Support Dogs I just had to take it. I have a great love of dogs and at Support Dogs they make such an amazing difference.”

And Harvey is looking forward to the challenge of tackling the 13.1 mile race in a full, furry dog suit. “I’m not going to be fast, but I am going to finish – though I’ll be dog tired at the end of it!” he jokes.

The Great North Run takes place on 9 September.
