Barratt Developments continues support of local businesses with subcontractors conference

Barratt Developments, which includes both Barratt Homes and David Wilson Homes, has further demonstrated its commitment to supporting local businesses, holding its most successful subcontractors conference to date last week. Over 60 local contractors headed to the Woodlands Hotel in Leeds to hear from a selection of Barratt directors.

The conference provided opportunity for a range of construction industry workers to network and speak with fellow subcontractors, as well as observing presentations from Barratt Yorkshire West’s Managing Director, Ian Ruthven, Construction Director, Darren Johnson and Commercial Director Martin Purdy. Barratt Developments has invested over 50 million pounds in local suppliers and subcontractors in the last calendar year across the region, with the conference marking the house builder’s dedication in supporting local subcontractors in the region.

Ian Ruthven, Managing Director of Barratt Developments Yorkshire West commented:

“We couldn’t be happier that our recent subcontractors conference received such an excellent turnout, building on the success of last year’s conference. We pride ourselves in working with local subcontractors and suppliers in the regions where we build, so it was brilliant to see a turn out in such large numbers. We continue to strive for our homes to support those living and working in the areas they are built and we look forward continuing building these relationships through our developments.”
