Beal Homes has revealed plans for an exclusive new development in one of the North’s most desirable towns.

The award-winning housebuilder has announced that its latest development will feature 55 luxury homes in sought-after Beverley, East Yorkshire.

The £15m development will contribute to the continuing growth of East Yorkshire-based Beal, which is on target to deliver a record number of new homes in 2018, the company’s 50th anniversary year.

Named St. John’s Fold, the development is just a short walk from magnificent Beverley Minster and will offer three and four bedroom family homes with a choice of 11 different house types.

Work has begun on site infrastructure for the development, with construction of the new homes due to start early next year.

Chris Murphy, Associate Land Director at East Yorkshire-based Beal, said: “Beverley is one of the most popular places to live in East Yorkshire and well beyond.

“St. John’s Fold occupies a prime location within the town. It’s close to Beverley town centre and just a few minutes to transport links to Hull, York and Leeds.

“We’re already working on the site infrastructure and will soon start on the main access road. We aim to have completed the development within two years.”

Sue Waudby, Beal Marketing and Sales Director, said: “Beverley is a beautiful and very popular place and we’ve been looking for the perfect location for an exclusive development in the town for quite some time.

“St. John’s Fold is in a lovely leafy setting on Woodmansey Mile, close to Long Lane, and within easy walking distance of all Beverley’s fabulous attractions, shops and restaurants.

“The development is likely to be especially popular with families due to its close proximity to Keldmarsh Primary and Beverley Grammar – both very good schools.”

Regularly rated as one of Britain’s best places to live, Beverley boasts bustling markets, a picturesque racecourse, characterful pubs, award-winning restaurants and a host of top retail names, including Debenhams, Browns, Barbour, Jo Malone, Mint Velvet and Jack Wills.

St. Johns’ Fold is a short walk from Beverley’s train station and popular retail and leisure destination Flemingate, which is home to six-screen Parkway Cinema and a high-quality mix of restaurants and shops, as well as Inflata Nation, the UK’s first double-decker inflatable theme park.

The development is named after St. John of Beverley who was the Bishop of Hexham and then York. He went on to found Beverley by building a monastery in the town and made the Minster a centre of pilgrimage, transforming the remote spot into a thriving community.

Celebrating 50 years of building high-quality homes in Hull, East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire, Beal is at the forefront of residential development and regeneration across the region and enjoys an unrivalled reputation for quality and customer service.

Beal has been named Yorkshire Housebuilder of the Year three times in as many years, underlining its reputation as the region’s leading private residential developer.
