Bruntwood Works rolls out SME events series in partnership with Enterprise Nation

Bruntwood launches SME support sessions

This spring, leading regional property developer, Bruntwood, is set to launch Bruntwood Works Presents – a vibrant programme of events for small businesses and start-ups – in partnership with small business support network Enterprise Nation.

The events will be held in Bruntwood buildings across key UK cities, including Manchester, Birmingham, Leeds, and Liverpool, with outstanding talks and masterclasses from some of the UK’s most inspiring small business leaders.

Leeds will play host to the first Bruntwood Works Presents event, which will be held at Bruntwood’s West One building on March 20th. The event, hosted by Enterprise Nation, will explore how to boost your brand on a budget. It will feature three local entrepreneurs, Murdo MacLeod, founder of Zest Mixology, John Gyngell, founder of North Brewing Co., and James Ooi, founder of Little Bao Boy.

Speakers have also been announced for the Liverpool Bruntwood Works Presents event. The session will be held at The Plaza in Liverpool’s business district on April 4th, where Enterprise Nation will welcome Gina Czarnecki, founder of innovative alternative coffin company Koffin, Lauren Kelly founder of Behaviour Studio, and Matt Johnson, MD of FORM Studio, to explore how businesses can boost their bottom line through creativity.

Speakers for future events are still to be announced, but the series will cover topics aimed at supporting and inspiring businesses and will explore areas including branding, creativity in business, and how companies can harness social media to build their businesses.

The initiative is part of a wider collaboration which will see the small business support network, Enterprise Nation, offering ‘plugged in’ support and business-building events, in curated Bruntwood spaces, the aim of which is to help firms grappling with the fundamentals of business groundwork including finances, marketing and exporting.

As part of the Bruntwood Works Presents launch activity, the company is offering a free Enterprise Nation membership for 12 months to the first 100 new customers, as well as 100 for existing Bruntwood customers. All customers will then be able to access the membership at a discounted rate.

A range of exciting benefits are available to customers who sign up for a membership including networking events, online masterclasses, expert advice, live pitches to journalists, funders and buyers, speaker opportunities and a resources library.

Ciara Keeling, CEO Bruntwood Works, said: “We’re incredibly excited to be launching Bruntwood Works Presents in partnership with Enterprise Nation. Offering companies the opportunity to connect with their peers and be inspired and challenged by some of the UK’s most dynamic small business leaders is what this events series is all about.

“We can’t wait to welcome our customers across the key regions to these events, where they will have the chance to network and hear first-hand the experiences of leading entrepreneurs who have some great insights and stories to share.

“We know that running a successful business can be challenging, so we want to ensure that our customers are able to tap into the fantastic support network that an Enterprise Nation membership offers. As such, we’re offering free memberships to new and existing customers as part of our ongoing commitment to growing vibrant, connected business communities which are imbued with a spirit of open innovation that helps companies connect and enables great collaborations to happen.”

The first Bruntwood Works Presents event will launch in Leeds on March 20 with a key focus on building a brand on a start-up budget.
