Deadline looms for 2019 North East Entrepreneurial Awards

Lianne Walker MBE was crowned Entrepreneur of the Year at last year's awards

With less than a month to go until the deadline for entries, nominations have been pouring in for the 2019 North East Entrepreneurial Awards.

But organisers are advising those interested in entering to make their move sooner rather than later to avoid missing the deadline, which falls at midnight on Friday 24th May.

Delivered by the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, the awards honour and applaud entrepreneurial leaders who have made remarkable contributions to the local business economy and continue to achieve and deliver beyond expectation.

The awards comprise of five categories which recognise outstanding individuals at each stage of the entrepreneurial journey, from Emerging Talent to Scale-up, Entrepreneur of the Year to Mentor of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

James Robson MBE, chairman of the Entrepreneurs’ Forum, said “The North East Entrepreneurial Awards is now in its 16th year and, while we always receive a number of high calibre nominations, the ambition is to build upon the successes of the previous awards year and to make the next even bigger and better.

“We’re looking forward to celebrating the next generation of business leaders in the autumn and invite those who are leading dynamic and growing enterprises, or who have demonstrated huge commitment to the North East’s businesses, to put their names forward before the deadline on Friday 24th May.”

The North East Entrepreneurial Awards will take place on Friday 20th September 2019 at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead Hotel and is supported by Fairstone Group, The Malhotra Group, IA Growth the North East Local Enterprise Partnership (NELEP), and Ward Hadaway.

Nominations can be made online by visiting the Entrepreneurs’ Forum website.
