Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, Chief Executive with Lead phyiotherapist Stephen Kirk

OneWellness has been set up by Leeds-based OneMedicalGroup which employs 250 people across its network and is a national provider of healthcare solutions to the NHS. The first-of-its-kind wellness centre has opened its doors to provide health, nutrition and fitness services to the residents of Yorkshire to tap into the growing health and wellness market, which is forecast to be worth £209 billion in 2020.

The new OneWellness Centre is a dedicated 300m2 space located within the Mowbray Square Medical Centre in Harrogate that will support people to stay fit and well for life. The new bespoke service will be led by an expert team of clinicians with experience in physiotherapy, pilates and nutrition services, with plans for additional sites across the UK.

The centre will provide Yorkshire residents with access to scientific, evidence based wellness services from a clinician led team including an exercise studio, treatment rooms and fully equipped fitness suite for those needing treatment or wishing to enhance their general mobility, fitness and sporting performance.

Rachel Beverley-Stevenson, chief executive of OneMedicalGroup, said: “There is a growing demand for people to proactively manage their own health, nutrition and fitness requirements. Making the best of one’s self is a personal passion mine, so I have launched the new venture with our team of experts to meet market demand and provide different services to manage wellness.

“Our new centre on Mowbray Square is all about exclusive wellness support for the people of Yorkshire from our welcoming team of experts, whether that is being able to make the best of one’s self, keep up with the grandchildren, nutrition advice, continue cycling, enhance their golf performance, or even run a marathon.

“OneWellness Centre’s predominant focus will be on preventative support and guidance and will be flexible in meeting both the physical and emotional needs of each individual. With extensive experience operating in the NHS, I am all too aware of how an illness, injury or poor mental health can impact a person’s ability to live a long and happy life.”

Individuals who visit the OneWellness Centre will be able to utilise the team of onsite experts who are on hand to help optimise injury recovery time and improve a client’s strength, stability and emotional wellbeing; whether it be pre-and post-natal rehabilitation, physio for golfers, specialist upper limb physio or even preventative therapy to aid flexibility through Pilates and Yoga.
