Global expansion creates 30 vacancies in Leeds.

A global technology and data company based in Leeds has announced 30 vacancies as it expands.

As one of the largest providers of automotive data in the world, cap hpi helps to keep motorists safe when buying and selling a vehicle with its HPI Check product. The company’s valuation data underpins the loan car buyers take on a car and the price when they sell it.

The vacancies span developers, data analysts and customer-facing staff. Based in cap hpi’s global headquarters the move follows rapid growth that has seen staff numbers leap to 350 from 160 eighteen months ago and a multi-million-pound investment in the technology and systems that support them.

A new ‘Innovation Hub’ has been established in Leeds to ensure its systems, coding, data collection processes, and valuation methodologies are world leading. The office was upgraded to provide a sector leading working environment.

The Innovation Hub brings together data scientists, analysts, developers and motoring experts to develop tools that help all sectors of the motor industry. The company says it is seeing increasing demand for digital tools that range from vehicle comparators to appraisal apps.

Amanda Hardcastle, head of HR at cap hpi commented: “We have a high energy culture that drives a passion for people, data and technology. It is changing the way people think about vehicles and mobility. And as part of the global giant Solera, our people have career opportunities in 85 countries.

“Our team is at the forefront of data and connected technology, which not only represents an exciting time for the business but good news for the region as continued expansion leads to the need for new talent at HQ in Leeds.”

The company will be attending the Leeds Digital Jobs Fair at the city’s First Direct Arena from 3.30pm to 7.30pm on Wednesday, February 28.
