Huddersfield businesswoman launches Corporate Wellbeing service

Kelly Thistlethwaite, of Holmfirth, Huddersfield, has launched a wellbeing service aimed at both individuals and businesses in the Yorkshire region after her experience of working as a Physical Development Coach for Help for Heroes based in Catterick.

In response to the current mental health epidemic in Britain, Kelly decided to use her background in Sports rehabilitation and her passion for physical and mental wellbeing to help others. Launching Yorkshire Yogi, Kelly aims to enable participants to understand how poor physical and mental health can impact upon various aspects of their life and supports them in how to put measures in place to lead more productive and less stressful lives.

With work-related stress and injury costing the UK economy over £2 billion a year, Yorkshire Yogi has developed an offering to support businesses with supporting their most important asset – their employees through a range of exclusive, tailor-made Corporate Wellbeing Packages.

Dawn Ward of ABP Wessex Food Group recently underwent a Corporate wellbeing day and said:

“Health and wellbeing of our staff have to be paramount as they are at the very core of our business. By investing in these workshops, we hope that our team will feel real benefits, not just in the workplace, but in their overall health. It is also hoped this will aid our retention of our talented team and attract others to become part of our business.”

Kelly says:

‘It is so important to look after your physical and mental health, and my workshops focus on these in equal measure.

It is important for businesses, no matter what size, to help mitigate the potential for burnout, low staff morale and sickness. I teach them to develop techniques to increase concentration, memory, creativity and productivity.’

Yorkshire Yogi also offers a range of private classes and workshops, including bridal relaxation packages and student wellbeing workshops.
