Interactive quiz platform played live on air in world first

Headquartered in Yorkshire, cloud-based KwizzBit will make quizzing history by performing what is thought to be the world’s first collaborative smartphone quiz live on live on Stoke on Trent’s regional radio station, Signal 2 on Friday 8th December 2017.

Up to 100 workplace teams from the local area will go head-to-head, competing for the fastest finger first title; with prizes being awarded to the best performing teams.

Teams playing the quiz will be raising funds for the Donna Louise Trust, a Children’s Hospice based in Staffordshire, supporting children with life-limiting conditions and their families.

The KwizzBit software combines the traditional format of a pub quiz and fuses it with the excitement of interactive digital entertainment, allowing users to host and engage in entertaining multiplayer quizzes online via a smartphone.

Commenting on Friday’s live quiz, Mark Walsh said:

“We are delighted to have been invited by Signal 2 to host what we believe is the world’s first live interactive quiz played on air via a smartphone. We hope that contestants will have a great time taking part and we’ve got some great prizes to give away!”

Signal 2 radio DJ, Paul Fairclough added:

“KwizzBit is an exciting entertainment platform and we’re really looking forward to sharing this with our listeners on Friday. The fastest finger first nature of the platform means that players are not able to ‘Google’ the answers which makes the game even more exciting for all involved.”
