Workhaus Projects - York Minster Undercroft

Specialist museum workshop Workhaus Projects head to the Museums & Heritage Show 2020 to showcase their craftsmanship at the sector’s largest free event.

In May 2020, members of the Workhaus team will head down to the Museums & Heritage Show, hosted at the Olympia in London. They are confirmed as an official exhibitor and will join over 2500 heritage professionals at the free event which includes over 50 talks and 20 masterclasses from across the UK.

“There are people present from across the museums and heritage sector, so it provides a great opportunity for disseminating ideas, best-practice and networking” reports the Zoological Society Of London, former exhibitors at the show.

Tucked away in the Yorkshire village of Sherburn-In-Elmet, Workhaus headquarters house cutting-edge technology and a team of creative and technical specialists.

Their portfolio is impressive, with unique projects spanning across Yorkshire and indeed, the world. From a fire and moisture resistant fit-out display in York Minster Undercroft, to a modern, interactive fit-out for the Springbok Rugby Experience in Cape Town.

The team’s modern production facility houses state-of-the-art Computer Aided Design, Rapid prototyping and CNC machines alongside a diverse team of time served ‘traditional’ crafts people.

Workhaus’ Skills Include:

  • Traditional Joinery
  • Spray Finishing
  • Metal Fabrication
