Two leading providers of development programmes for schoolchildren have joined up to raise the aspirations of students in the north of England and beyond.
Positive Footprints and Primary Futures both work with schools to open up the world of work for primary school children, helping them learn more about possible career choices and the importance of education.
Through its Raising Aspirations programme, Positive Footprints gets pupils to think about their futures and develop key skill associated with the world of work in a fun and engaging way. The programme is an out of box solution for schools, with all the necessary materials provided for teachers to deliver the programme in the classroom.
Primary Futures connects schools with inspirational and diverse volunteers from a range of different employers. The volunteers come into schools and talk to children about their jobs, raising aspirations and connecting the world of work with the classroom.
The partnership will see both organisations bring their programmes together to enable schools to run the Raising Aspirations programme and access business volunteers for career carousel events, giving schools a broader range of resources.
