Leeds based pay-per-click advertising  experts, Circus PPC, have announced that they will be working with London based charity Rays of Sunshine.

Following the announcement by Google in December 2017 that charity accounts which don’t receive enough clicks can be closed down, Circus PPC decided to offer a long-term partnership to a charity, in which their AdWords account would be managed completely free of charge.

Over 35,000 charities globally are at risk of having their account closed and losing out on the grants that Google provides for AdWords. One London based charity, Rays of Sunshine, whose account was suspended due to not meeting the new rules, approached Circus PPC after they saw their offer of support.

The grants provided by Google to third sector organisations allow them to expand their marketing output and increase their brand awareness through Google AdWords. Without this grant, many charities would not be able to afford to undertake this kind of marketing, as it would eat into their overall marketing budget, reducing their spend for other channels such as SEO or social media.

Rays of Sunshine is an award-winning national children’s charity that exists to brighten the lives of seriously ill children aged three to 18 across the UK by granting wishes, granting hospital ward wishes, organising hospital activity events, and hosting large scale events.

Circus PPC have been working with the charity for two months and in this short period of time have not only managed to get the account live again, but have also made significant improvements to the overall performance. The aim for Circus PPC is to advance the account so that more traffic is driven to the website to increase awareness, leads, contacts and donations.

Laura Barnett, Director of Communications & General Manager, Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity commented:

“We are so grateful to have Circus PPC. Through their support we were able to have our AdWords account reinstated and they now look after the account for us on a pro-bono basis. As a charity, we try to save costs wherever we can to ensure the money we raise is used to directly help brighten the lives of seriously and terminally ill children and their families across the UK. We’re excited to continue working with Circus to help grow the charity’s online footprint and achieve our organisational goals through effective PPC.”

Commenting on the partnership, Managing Director of Circus PPC, Rick Tobin said:

“As a business, we have been looking at supporting a charity for a while now and when the announcement was made by Google it was a no brainer for us to offer up our time to a charity in need. We’re delighted to be working with Rays of Sunshine, and at getting their account back up and running for them.”

“When Rays of Sunshine got in touch, it was great to go down and visit them to find out more about the charity and see first-hand some of the amazing work they do. We hope that we can support them long-term and generate some fantastic results through PPC to help the charity continue providing such an incredible service for seriously ill children.”
