Darwen-based property claims management specialist and franchisee network, Aspray, has raised £1000 for the Derian House Children’s Hospice in Chorley, to help assist its valuable work.
The Aspray head office team, based in Darwen, headed to Aspray’s National Conference – an event held annually for its franchisee network – determined to raise money for Derian House, which offers palliative and respite care to children with life-shortening conditions, whilst also providing uplifting support for their families.
Aspray franchisees, based as far apart as London and Glasgow, attended the Crewe-based two-day conference, which provided them with the latest intelligence from the property and insurance markets, useful training information, talks from specialists in various fields, workshops and opportunities to network and socialise.
A presentation slot on the agenda was also given to Elaine Middleton, corporate fundraiser at Derian House, who was able to explain all about the wonderful work that the charity carries out and the difference it makes to the lives of both the children in its care and their families.
After hearing all about Derian House’s positive impacts on these lives, Aspray’s franchisees gave generously, cumulatively raising £1000, which Aspray’s managing director, James Whittle, was able to present to Derian House.
James Whittle says: “I was delighted to be able to hand over this large sum, on behalf of all of Aspray’s franchisees and our head office team. Derian House is a charity close to our hearts and we were thrilled when Elaine Middleton agreed to speak to our franchisees and tell them all about its inspiring work.
