M&Y Maintenance and Construction invested nearly £50,000 into corporate responsibility projects last year.
The St Helens based company, which is part of The Regenda Group, donated to a wide range of causes across the North West, providing everything from financial donations to vehicles and construction services.
M&Y contributed £20,000 worth of labour to Centre 56, a domestic abuse charity based in Kirkdale, Liverpool. The team worked in partnership with the Travis Perkins CSR Fund to complete a refurbishment of parts of the building, improve disabled access and carry out a range of compliance works.
In Rochdale, the firm improved facilities at the homelessness charity, Petrus Community. M&Y installed a new bathroom facility and a laundry room which can be accessed by service users, allowing them to bathe and wash their clothes. The project cost £10,000.
M&Y also donated a used van to Petrus after procuring a new fleet. The firm had the charity’s logo and name added to the vehicle.
Gill Kelly, Managing Director of M&Y Maintenance and Construction, said: “Social value is at the root of everything we do at M&Y and many of the projects we have invested in have come following suggestions from our staff.
“I am delighted that we have been able to support these organisations throughout the year.
Other CSR investments made by M&Y during 2017 include, fitting a new boiler and heating system at Woodlands Animal Sanctuary in Southport, fitting a new kitchen and providing appliances to Breckfield Road Community Centre and supporting the Positive Footprints Job Junction programme at schools in Fleetwood.
As part of The Regenda Group, all profits made by M&Y Maintenance and Construction are gift aided back to the social housing provider and used to help build affordable homes across the North West.
