Talented duo engineer a career move to Adept

Two experienced civil and structural engineers have been appointed at Adept. The appointments follow the recent expansion of the civil and structural consulting engineering business into new flagship premises within Sunny Bank Mills in Farsley, Leeds.

Chartered structural engineer Andrew Law joins as associate director. He has over 30 years’ experience working for clients in the retail, residential, commercial, education, health and industrial sectors, and he is a member of The Institution of Structural Engineers.

Terry Christian, who has a Masters in Civil Structural Engineering from the Claude Bernard University in Lyon, joins from a Wakefield based engineering business where he worked for almost three years on a range of residential and retail projects. Over the last eight years he has also worked as an AutoCAD technician in Scotland and structural engineer in France.

Erol Erturan, managing director of Adept, says: “Andrew’s CV speaksfor itself with a vast level of experience and relevant skills that will be highly beneficial to our ever expanding client base. Having worked on high-profile multi-million pound projects in both the private and public sectors, he is a welcome addition to our team.

“In addition, Terry’s familiarity with the residential and retail sectors will fit well with our current client base, which spans a wide range of high profile projects throughout the UK, and his appointment now takes our team to 35.”

Adept was founded in 2007 by business partners, Erol Erturan, Matthew Ramsden and Richard Parker. It has an annual turnover of more than £2 million. Clients include a wide range of regional and national construction and development firms such as Strategic Team Group, McCarthy & Stone, ISG, Simons Construction, Interserve, Asda, Next PLC, Debenhams, CBRE and Town Centre Securities.
