Thornton & Lowe Supports Brother UK in Winning Bids

Following delivery of a successful in-house bid-writing training session last summer, Bolton-based bid and tender writing specialist, Thornton & Lowe, is celebrating running a number of bespoke bid training sessions for Brother UK, a leading supplier of technology solutions.

Manchester-based Brother UK, winner of the prestigious Queens Award for Enterprise: Sustainable Development 2018 has a strong focus on staff wellbeing, personal growth, pay and benefits, leadership, and corporate responsibility. The investment in training forms part of their commitment to keep pace and innovate in organisational best practice.

Helping businesses to deliver greater productivity and efficiency through documentation, digitisation, collaboration and mobile work solutions, Brother UK initially commissioned Thornton & Lowe to run a bespoke session in-house in summer 2017. The course helped to develop the bid process and guide Brother UK to rationally select profitable business.

The success of the initial training session led to several other sessions being run this year from February to June. Focussing on helping Brother UK to develop their bid processes, with an emphasis on pre-bid work, bid pipelines and the bid/no bid decision process, the sessions are helping to put teams together and make crucial adjustments to existing processes.

Charles Grosstephan, Head of Bid & Tender Training at Thornton & Lowe, said: “From the initial sit down, we knew what we had to achieve. After the success of the first session, Brother UK bought into the fact that we could make positive changes and make sure that attendees learnt at every step of the way. By providing consistency and measurable success, we are able to build longstanding partnerships with our clients. We’re delighted to be working with Brother UK and been a key part of their business winning function.”
