York firm nominated for UK Business Awards 2017

York-based insurer, The Insurance Emporium, has been nominated for two awards at the UK Business Awards 2017.

The Insurance Emporium, which launched as the new face of The Equine and Livestock Insurance Company Limited earlier this year, is a finalist in the Financial Services and the Business Change or Transformation B2C categories.

Judged by an independent panel of businessmen and women, The UK Business Awards, otherwise known as ‘The Dons’, are highly coveted industry prizes. They celebrate exceptional performances from firms and individuals across 20 categories. As well as the awards for each category, an Overall Winner award will be given to the entrant with the highest score across all disciplines.

The Dons are hosted by Awards International with support from Cranfield School of Management. This gala event will take place in conjunction with the UK Digital Experience Awards.

Neil Skehel, Chief Executive Officer of Awards International said: “This year is shaping up to be the most significant UK Business Awards we have had, and it’s truly an honour to invite our fantastic finalists to London for this event.

“All-in-all it’s going to be one of the biggest dates in the business calendar, and we are excited to see who wins on the day.”

Francis Martin, Chief Executive Officer at The Insurance Emporium said: “We are delighted to be a finalist in both categories at the UK Business Awards 2017. To be nominated for these national awards, which recognises achievements from businesses of all sizes, is an indication of the success of our investment.

“It’s great for a York-based business like ourselves to be recognised on a national level and we hope that it is a success that the rest of North Yorkshire can see the benefit from.”

The Insurance Emporium’s nominations follow a multi-million pound investment to launch the new brand and grow the business over the next five years.

The UK Business Awards 2017 finals will take place at Wembley Stadium on November 22nd.
