Yorkshire-based Security Manufacturer Shortlisted for Prestigious Manufacturer Awards

Heald Ltd, a manufacturer of hostile vehicle mitigation systems which protect some of the world’s most prestigious buildings and pedestrianised areas have been shortlisted for this years’ prestigious Manufacturer MX Awards.

The Hornsea-based company have secured a nomination in the ‘Export’ category, which recognises how, through exporting activity, Heald has been able to increase international sales.

Over 90% of Heald’s products are currently exported overseas, and increase on 70% from the year before, with products installed in Norway, the Netherlands, Copenhagen, Singapore, Australia, Jordan and the USA.

Some of Heald’s recent export successes include the United Nations headquarters in New York, the Stavros Niarchos Cultural Centre in Greece and the historic French Quarter in New Orleans which saw 22 of Heald’s award-winning Matador bollards installed to protect pedestrians and historic buildings.

Commenting on the shortlist, Heald’s MD Debbie Heald MBE added: “During the past year, Heald’s export sales have increased from 70% to 90%, so it is an honour to have this achievement recognised in such a tough category of The Manufacturer MX Awards.

“We will look forward to the upcoming award ceremony and I would like to congratulate all others who have been shortlisted for this prestigious award.”

The announcement follows Heald being shortlisted for three Yorkshire Post Business Awards, which sees named in the Innovation, Leadership and turnover up to £10million categories.
