Altrincham nursery celebrates first birthday

Back to the Garden Childcare is ONE!

Back to the Garden Childcare, located on Sinderland Road in Broadheath near Altrincham hosted a first birthday party at the weekend.

The event proved to be popular with local families, some of whom were visiting the nursery for the first time with a view to securing a place whilst parents of children who already attend also came to celebrate to mark the milestone.

The highlight of the day was the silent disco by Our Kids Social, which saw approximately 30 children donning headphones and dancing to the latest hits in the tipi, as well as doing the conga across the garden.

From one-to-one show arounds of the nursery with a member of the team to children’s yoga classes in the tipi, plus clay making and painting, it was fun-filled afternoon for all.

The Garden Eatery in Hale provided soup and smoothies, whilst Back to the Garden’s in-house nutritionist, Niki Charnock, hosted a workshop on children’s nutrition and Sadie Pickering had an array of doTERRA essential oils available to buy.

Chris McGoff, CEO of Back to the Garden Childcare, joined co-founders Stewart and Jeannie Pickering to cut the cake.

Chris says: “I was thrilled to attend Back to the Garden’s first birthday party. The nursery has grown over the last 12 months and continues to go from strength to strength, which is great to see. It was only fitting to mark this milestone with a fun party for local families.”

Stewart adds: “We have created a fantastic community at Back to the Garden and it was lovely to see so many children from the nursery attend the party with their parents. It was also wonderful to welcome lots of new families through the door, which is exactly what we wanted to do with this event; showcase our stunning facilities and beautiful garden as well as give guests a taste of what we offer.”

Back to the Garden Childcare is fast becoming the nursery of choice for parents in Altrincham and the neighbouring towns and villages. With space for 120 children, aged from three months up to five years old, Back to the Garden is an innovative child-led, active learning environment with an emphasis on outdoor play in a stunning garden setting.

Its philosophy of allowing children to be children to explore their environment, experiment with the outdoor playscape and harness their own imaginations allows for a natural approach where each child develops at their own pace.

There are a handful of places still available for September and October starts, and the nursery offers 15 or 30 hours free childcare for children aged between two and four years old. For further information, please contact Back to the Garden Childcare on 0161 537 7999
