The Bannatyne Group’s development programme, for its 3000 strong workforce, has received national recognition from Investors in People.

The Company was named Best Newcomer in the 500+ Employees category at the annual Investors in People Awards. Last year, the Bannatyne Group achieved Investors In People accreditation. The company received IIP status, following a long journey involving staff consultation, benchmarking and the establishment and maintenance of industry best practice.

The best newcomer award demonstrates the importance of the whole team working effectively together. The accreditation was instrumental in the Group’s strong financial performance in annual results announced earlier this year.

The Bannatyne Group is expanding its workforce as part of a £50m investment and acquisition programme. The company has invested in multiple new technologies, including digital platforms to help members track their fitness routines and access club facilities, and a suite of the most up to date training equipment. Brand new spa facilities are also being rolled out at locations around the UK.

Justin Musgrove, CEO of The Bannatyne Group, said: “The strong performance of the business is testament to the capable and enthusiastic staff we have across our clubs and support services.

“Achieving Investors In People status is a fantastic achievement for the company and winning a national award, as best newcomer, vindicates the hard work of the entire team. Being recognised as an employer that puts the training and development of staff at the forefront of its thinking, is a key priority for the business.

“An organisation can only be successful with a pool of talented people who can grow with the business. The only way to do this is to have loyal employees who enjoy coming to work and feel appreciated for the work that they do.”
