Barratt Homes welcomes Andrea Jenkyns MP to Morley site

Local housebuilder Barratt Homes Yorkshire West recently welcomed MP Andrea Jenkyns of Morley and Outwood to its new St Andrew’s Place development in Morley to explore the development and see the progress that has been made on the site over the past year and also learn more about how the housebuilder is supporting first time buyers and affordable housing schemes.

Andrea Jenkyns MP toured the development with members of the team from Barratt Developments including Managing Director Ian Ruthven, Construction Director Darren Johnson and Sales Manager Gill Hurst who talked through the affordable housing plots available at St Andrew’s Place. The site team were also on hand to talk Mrs Jenkyns through the modern methods of construction that are being used at the development.

St Andrew’s Place supports a number of schemes including Help to Buy, Discounted Market Value Plots and shared equity initiatives that make it easier for first-time buyers to get on to the property ladder.

Andrea Jenkyns MP commented: “I was thrilled to have been given a tour of the St Andrew’s Place development and to learn about the work that goes on at a Barratt Homes site both during and after construction. It’s great to see such support for affordable housing in the local area, something that’s extremely important in Morley.”
