Halifax-based business shortlisted in national award

A Halifax-based firm which specialises in converting properties into office space, has been shortlisted in the British Small Business Awards 2018.

The firm behind the refurbishment and expansion of Croft Myl, has been named a finalist in the Workplace Provider of the Year category at the prestigious awards.

Acquired by serial entrepreneurs, Vicky and Brian Nolan in July 2015, Croft Myl provides flexible work spaces for start-ups and SMEs in the region.

Vicky and Brian also operate their successful electrical testing business out of the premises.

The shortlisting will see Croft Myl join other finalists at a black-tie awards ceremony at Royal Lancaster Hotel in London on 31st October 2018.

In its third year, the annual British Small Business Awards celebrates the UK’s leading small businesses and recognises the entrepreneurs that underpin the economy.

The category itself seeks to identify work spaces with quality facilities, technology-enabling capabilities, value for money and their overall influence on the SME ecosystem.

Finalists at the awards will enjoy a champagne drinks reception and three-course meal. The evening will also include high-profile keynote addresses and entertainment.

Commenting on the award shortlisting, director, Vicky Nolan said:

“To learn that we have been named a finalist in the awards really is testament to our hard work and achievements over the last three years. We’ve worked tirelessly to create a workspace that appeals to small businesses and one that will fully support them on their journey for growth.

“Having struggled to find a flexible workspace for our electrical testing business in the early days, we recognised how important it was for smaller firms to find office space that suits their needs.

“We’re really looking forward to meeting the other finalists and celebrating with them on the night.”
