Hortor launches graduate training programme to support expansion

Hortor, the global strategic resourcing specialist with UK offices in Leeds and London, has announced the launch of a new graduates training programme that will support its ambitious plans to expand its workforce and double turnover year on year.

To implement a standardised training programme, which reflects Hortor’s company culture and approach, graduates will be led through the 18-week initiative that is delivered by Recruitment Training Group Ltd.

The robust 10-day programme will provide training sessions every Tuesday and coaching one day each month, which will comprise webinars and group-based training exercises. Each session will target a distinct element of the recruitment organisation, including SWOT analysis, organigrams, candidates, sales, ongoing business development and client meetings.

Throughout the programme, which will include homework assignments and additional reading and research, each candidate will also be offered support from a senior member of the Hortor team who will act as a mentor.

Upon completing the programme, a graduation ceremony will take place to reward each candidate with a certificate in recognition of all of their hard work.

Recruitment Trainer and Performance Coach at Recruitment Training Group Ltd, Fay Filsell, comments: “This is a bespoke training programme that not only offers graduates the opportunity to get first-hand experience working in the extremely competitive recruitment sector, but also have unprecedented access to a company that has managed to disrupt such a saturated market.

“We have created a programme that is structured and clear to let candidates know what is expected of them before they begin. In addition, graduates will also be introduced to the culture and approach that Hortor takes and given the chance to learn how it became a market leading global strategic resourcing consultancy.”

Joint CEO of Hortor, Andy Roe, comments: “We have very ambitious growth plans over the next five years and finding the right people to help fulfil this, who also embrace our culture as an organisation, sits at the very heart of our long-term strategy.

“We pride ourselves on refusing to conform to the usual recruitment model and have worked hard to establish a disruptive approach. This graduate programme will allow candidates to join a positive company culture where they will be supported through all stages of their own development to help them to start a successful career.

“We are launching this programme with the mindset that graduates will eventually become a key component the Hortor business model. They will not only bring new and fresh ideas to the organisation, but also help Hortor to maintain its position as a market leader domestically and in other international markets.”
