Hydrasun Opens New Facility in Teesside As It Focuses on Supporting the Net Zero Ambitions of Industry

Hydrasun's New Teesside Facility

Hydrasun Teesside, a renowned provider of high-performance integrated product and service solutions to the petrochemical, marine, oil and gas and renewable energy sectors is pleased to announce they have opened a new 20,000 sq. ft office and workshop facility at Teesside Industrial Estate, Thornaby, Stockton on Tees.

This move comes as part of the Hydrasun Group’s ongoing investment and commitment to growth through delivering a wider capability and service provision on customer projects and work scopes as industry addresses the needs of the energy transition.

Since its inception over 27 years ago, through the collective hardwork, dedication and commitment of the Hydrasun Teesside team, a reputation as a trusted supplier in the field of fluid transfer, power, and control solutions has been built. A core offering in Hose and Instrumentation products has been complemented by a range of added value services including Asset Integrity Assurance & Reliability, Field Service System Integration & Installation of products, Commissioning & Site Service Solutions, Hydraulic product & services and Technical Training Services.

Beyond the above Hydrasun has established itself as the preferred and largest instrumentation product stockist and distributor for Parker Hannifin in Northeast England, with 2022 also seeing it being awarded the Northwest of England territory. With new specialist in-house manufacturing facilities Hydrasun can also now offer customers fully assembled solutions including control panels, instrument hook-up assemblies and populated enclosure packages.

The new facility also sees Hydrasun continue to offer customers convenient access to a range of off-the-shelf Parker and other manufacturers products, via its Trade Store facility (open daily), including a range of hose assemblies manufactured if required, whilst you wait.

Recent years has seen the company develop its hydrogen technology integrator & installation capabilities. Since 2016 Hydrasun has delivered over 30 projects in the Hydrogen marketplace across transport, industrial and power sectors both in the UK & across the EU. Hydrasun recently acquired Fuel Cell Systems Ltd, a leading provider of Hydrogen systems and applications, as it looks to continue to expand its technology & full turnkey project offering to the growing Hydrogen market.

Speaking about the development and investment, Neil Holmes – Regional Manager for the North of England at Hydrasun said “From our new premises Hydrasun will be able to offer both existing and new customers a wider range of products and services including new integrated solutions such as the design, engineering, manufacturing and integration of bespoke and modular mechanical/electrical systems. We are now moving into a very exciting period of development and transition across industry and at Hydrasun we want to continue to support our existing customers and markets, but also embrace the challenge of Net Zero across the North of England”.

The expansion of the Teesside facility has also sparked a significant recruitment drive, with opportunities available for sales professionals, engineering, service engineers / technicians, graduate trainees and apprentices to join the Hydrasun team.

David Whiles Operations Manager at Hydrasun said “This expansion allows us to better serve our customers with an extended range of products and services. At Hydrasun we aim to attract and nurture talented individuals who are passionate about supporting the energy transition and want to contribute to the company’s continued growth”.
