Insight will give Bondholder businesses a boost at First Friday

As MD of Tendo, the Latin equivalent of strive, focus and deliver, Gary King’s motivation couldn’t be clearer. To do just that for businesses across the Wakefield district, Gary will be checking in with Wakefield Bondholders at the group’s next first Friday event on 1st June at Unity Hall and Business Space.

Insisting that a team that cares as much about your business as you do does exist, Gary will look at the true cost of a bad hire detailing why values are the key to each stage of a successful recruitment process.

Maintaining that the ‘dream team’ can be achieved, Gary will teach business owners how let go and allow the team to flourish which, in turn, leaves leaders free to focus on other aspects of their business including those all-important strategies for growth and prosperity.

Gary comments: “There’s a certain set of beliefs that govern the recruitment and management of staff which, in the long run, holds businesses back. With a little guidance and a slightly different mindset, leaders can recruit the right team which will free up time to focus their attention elsewhere.”

As a member of the Bondholder steering group, Gary recognises the huge potential that Wakefield has as a place to visit, invest and live and, using his expertise in business growth, is passionate in his desire to support small business owners across the district in their quest to get better results.

Melissa Armitage, Manager at Wakefield Bondholders, comments: “We’re pleased to be welcoming Gary to our next event. With his experience in getting the very best out of businesses, we’re looking forward to learning a thing or two from his insight and ultimately using this to strengthen further what is already a successful business community.”

Joining Gary as a speaker at the event, Dean Freeman, Director of Long Division Festival, will explain what is coming up for one of the city’s much-loved events which launches the very same weekend. Also joining the line-up, Rory Bourke, of MYCCI, will provide further information on Wakefield Business Week.

Taking place at Unity Hall and Business Space from 8.45am, the first Friday event combines networking opportunities with breakfast at a cost of £12.00 per person for advanced bookings and £15.00 per person on the day.
