It is that easy being green – Yorkshire free chauffeur service goes zero-emission

Devonshire Arms

A local hotel’s free chauffeur service has gone for green, replacing their old diesel model with an environmentally friendly twin-engine hybrid.

Clive Brook Volvo, on Canal Road, Bradford, provided the new Volvo XC90 T8 Twin Engine to the Devonshire Arms at Bolton Abbey near Skipton, to chauffeur its guests to and from the hotel in style, and in zero-emission mode.

The XC90 T8 has space for seven adults in its luxurious interior, featuring Nappa soft leather upholstery, natural wood inlays, and a panoramic glass sunroof for a truly stylish trip.

The hotel is offering its free luxury transport service to parties of four to six guests who live within a 10-mile radius, to and from its award-winning restaurant, The Burlington.
Clive Brook, managing director at Clive Brook Volvo, said: “We’re delighted that the Devonshire Arms has chosen the Volvo XC90 as the new vehicle for its famous ‘Home James’ service.

“The XC90 is absolutely the car for the job. It has a stylish, spacious interior and offers up to 27 miles in zero-emission, electric-only mode which will make a huge difference to the hotel’s carbon footprint.”

Andrew Seward, concierge at the Devonshire Arms, said: “We’re huge Volvo fans at the Devonshire Arms, and are really keen to ensure our taxi service is environmentally-friendly, so an XC90 was the perfect choice for us.

“We’ve had amazing feedback from our guests, and would love to invite the local community to the award-winning Burlington for a superb dining experience, and five star journey.”
