JCT600 celebrated the launch of the new Aston Martin SUV, which was unveiled last month by the iconic car marque, when the latest DBX model visited Yorkshire on 11th December.

Customers were able to enjoy an early viewing of the new model, the first ever SUV in the car maker’s 106 year history, when it toured some of Yorkshire’s best-loved locations. Starting at the Aston Martin showroom in central Leeds, it visited Harewood House, Betty’s in Harrogate and Ripon Cathedral, before finishing its tour at a VIP afternoon tea at Grantley Hall near Ripon.

DBX is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine that is already used in the DB11 and Vantage. The new model will be able to accelerate from 0 to 62mph in 4.5 seconds and have a top speed of 181mph. It is Aston Martin’s first ever full-size five-seat model and has 632 litres of boot space.

Tom Armstrong, JCT600’s brand director for Aston Martin Leeds, said: “The launch of its first-ever SUV is a huge development with Aston Martin saying that it ‘signals a new era’ for the company. The model combines the marque’s iconic styling with the power and versatility of a high performance four-wheel drive vehicle.

Building on the world-renowned heritage of Aston Martin’s hand-built sports cars, it will introduce the marque to a whole new audience.

“DBX not only marks a significant expansion of Aston Martin’s portfolio, but will also signal the start of production at its second manufacturing plant in Wales. It’s exciting to see a great British brand evolving in this way and we are already receiving huge interest from customers throughout Yorkshire.”

DBX is due to be put on permanent display at JCT600’s Aston Martin Leeds showroom in spring 2020.
