Niche family law practice Jones Myers has retained its joint top tier position in the Legal 500 UK guide for over two decades.
The firm, which has offices in Leeds, Harrogate and York, is praised in the latest edition for its ‘excellent reputation for handling some very sensitive issues such as matrimonial and child protection in a very careful and empathetic manner.’
Director Richard Peaker, who leads the Financial Remedies Department and specialises in high net worth cases and complex financial disputes, is again named as a Leading Individual along with Kate Banerjee who heads the Children Team and is described as ‘a force to be reckoned with’.
Legal 500 praises Kate and fellow partner, Sarah Dickinson, who has extensive expertise in dealing with complex financial disputes and international jurisdiction cases, as ‘superb’.
Jones Myers ‘in house’ counsel Andrew Fox, a collaboratively trained lawyer with a strong track record in dealing with complex children cases along with trust related matters and offshore jurisdictions, is applauded as ‘being firm but fair and getting to the heart of a problem efficiently and with excellent judgement.’
Also lauded as a key lawyer is Jones Myers partner, Nicki Mitchell, who has 25 years’ experience in family law and heads the firm’s York office.

Jones Myers was founded by Peter Jones – a former national chair of Resolution – as the first specialist family law practice of its kind in Leeds.
