A leading national provider of serviced offices is hosting an event to raise funds for a Yorkshire homelessness charity.

Pure Offices has organised a quiz night and networking event in support of Simon on the Streets, which will take place at Victoria Gate Casino on Thursday 12 July, 6-9pm.

Founded in 2007, with the first office in Swindon opening in 2008, Pure Offices develops serviced offices designed to better serve businesses and their needs at an affordable rate. With an array of purpose-built and existing properties, the company now boasts 21centres in 18 locations across the UK.

With three centres in Leeds, the company has teamed up with local homelessness charity, Simon on the Streets, to raise funds for its vital work with rough sleepers across West Yorkshire.

The fundraiser event will feature an interactive team quiz, by Leeds-based technology firm KwizzBit, as well as networking, nibbles, £3 happy hour drinks offers and a raffle, with a top prize of an iPad.

Committed to working to better the communities in which it operates, Pure Offices approached Simon on the Streets following a meeting with development manager, Fahad Khan, who impressed the company with his passion for improving the lives of rough sleepers.

Established in 1999, Simon on the Streets is an independent charity, which relies solely on sponsorship, fundraising and donations.

The charity works with local people who are affected by homelessness and rough sleeping in Leeds, Bradford and Huddersfield. The organisation offers street-support to individuals who have complex needs and cannot access mainstream services, due to behavioural issues or mental illness.

Katie Whell, director of Pure Offices said:

“Pure Offices is proud to be working with a charity that carries out such crucial work in the Yorkshire community. It is inspiring to see the results achieved by Simon on the Streets, with a team so passionate about the cause.

“We chose Simon on the Streets after meeting with Fahad and listening to the work they do to help the homeless people of Yorkshire. They offer rough sleepers a lifeline by providing them with the support they need to turn their lives around. Simon on the Streets send support workers out during the night just to keep them company. I think what they do is amazing and hope that between us we can all help to make a difference”

Commenting on the event, development manager at Simon on the Streets, Fahad Khan said:

“We’re so grateful to Pure Offices for organizing the quiz night fundraiser. It’s fantastic to see that businesses that operate in the region don’t turn a blind eye to the people most in need, and work actively to do their bit for the community. Huge thanks to one of our corporate partners, Victoria Gate Casino, for hosting the event.

“At Simon on the Streets we rely solely on fundraising, sponsorships and corporate partnerships. Fundraising events such as these are pivotal in keeping the charity running, and raising awareness among the business community.”
