JTF Home & Garden is set to celebrate 40 years in business this September with a series of deals, special events, and product giveaways to recognise four decades of delivering exceptional value.

Since the start of the journey in 1979, JTF has expanded across the North and Midlands to now operate 12 value retail stores in addition to a thriving online store for customers across the country. JTF provide a range of 10,000 great value, quality products with a guarantee that they will not be beaten on price. So, whatever a customer needs, they’ll find it, and love it from JTF Home & Garden.

John Fretwell launched what was then JT Frith in the late 70s, moving from selling watches from the barber shop he worked in to the first JTF store in Mansfield Woodhouse. Originally consisting of just a small showroom selling ornaments, watches, nick-nacks and other goods to companies in the surrounding area, it didn’t take long for John to look further afield with Sheffield becoming the chain’s third store to open in May 1999 following additional branches in Sheffield and Lincoln, eventually expanding to the 12 in operation today.

To kick off the festivities, an event offering 40 epic deals will launch, followed by unmissable deals throughout September, across all stores and online. These will include TV’s, Laptops, Toys & Games, Furniture and much more alongside the launch of their new season Christmas, Fireworks and Halloween ranges.

JTF’s Liam Gill, CEO said “Ensuring every customer leaves happy has, and will remain key to the businesses success. We look forward to the next 40 years of passing on value to our customer and delighting those who shop with us. I am thoroughly looking forward to having some fun in celebrating the birthday alongside both our teams and our customers and hope to see customers new and old in store.

Additionally, a shop-to-win scratch card game will operate exclusively at JTF stores; customers shopping in-store will receive a card at checkout with a guarantee that they will win one of 100,000 prizes.

JTF stores across the country will be inviting all to attend their birthday party events September 28 where all attendees will receive free goody bags while face painting, balloon modelling, and food & drink will be on offer. Sheffield will have extra reason to celebrate as Tony Downing, Lord Mayor of Sheffield is on hand to open the freshly renovated Sheffield branch for the first time.
