An award scheme which recognises the efforts of Greater Manchester PAs, EAs, VAs and support professionals has extended its closing date to Thursday 7th June.
In an effort to highlight the hard work of other regional PA networks around the UK, the Manchester PA Awards has introduced an ‘External PA Award’ category for the first time. This will celebrate the achievements of PA networks across the UK as the Manchester PA network aims to make the awards bigger and better for 2018.
The not-for-profit awards are set to see more than 600 professionals from across the country come together to celebrate the best of the best in business support roles. As well as the new External PA category, the organisers are also adding several new categories including Business Leader of the Year and Fundraiser of the Year.
Previously exclusive to Greater Manchester, the 2018 awards will be split into 13 categories; 12 open to regional entries and one open to external entries from across the UK. As well as the new categories, the awards see the return of hotly contested titles such as the Rising Star and Lifetime Achievement honours.
Entrants will be judged by a panel of industry experts, with representatives from the likes of EPAA and UKFast, who will be singling out the very best talent in the PA, EA and VA community.
This year’s entries close on 7th June before the exclusive awards ceremony takes place on 1st November at Emirates Old Trafford, The Point.
Co-founder of the Manchester PA Network, Melanie Sheehy, said: “It is really important to us as the network continues to grow that we refresh the awards and make it bigger and better than previous years. Every year we have seen the number of nominations grow and the demand for tickets to the awards ceremony increase, going from 178 guests in 2015 to 670 guests in 2017. We feel the time is right to take the awards to the next level.”
The awards are supported by a range of sponsors including UKFast, Revolution Bars Group PLC, Lily Shippen, PZ Cussons and Make Events.
