Sunderland-based marketing agency, Narrative, have scooped three awards at the North East Marketing Awards 2019. Finalists in five categories, Narrative won three awards on the evening recognising their talents across digital marketing, cross-channel marketing and brand creation.

These wins spanned numerous sectors, including education, manufacturing and property the market.

The North East Marketing Awards, now in its second year, came to life in a glittering ceremony at the Discovery Museum in Newcastle on 10th October 2019. The Awards aim to showcase talent, creativity, innovation and passion from across the North East’s marketing community, recognising contributions from in-house teams and agencies alike.

Despite facing stiff competition from some of the region’s top agencies and in-house teams, Narrative were thrilled to take home more honours than any other entrant, winning the following awards:

Digital Campaign of the Year, with Hello Future (NCOP)

This award recognised the best use of online or digital technology to promote a product or service and was open to agencies and in-house marketing teams. Narrative won for their partnership with Hello Future – working together to promote Higher Education in Cumbria. The judges were impressed by the focus on sustainability, not just results.

Integrated Campaign of the Year (Agency), with BSW Timber

The judges were looking for the best use of cross-channel marketing over a range of platforms. Narrative’s submission for the marketing campaign for BSW Timber‘s decking and cladding product, IRO, demonstrated a clear strategy and showed synergy across platforms.

Brand Creation of the Year, with believe housing

This award looked at the development or creation of a brand identity and was open to all agencies. The judges were looking for a submission which demonstrated results and ROI, as well as met the brief completely. Narrative won for County Durham Housing Group’s rebrand to believe housing.

Kieron Goldsborough, managing director at Narrative, said: “The trio of awards recognises the fantastic work the team do here at Narrative. As a truly integrated agency, these wins highlight our focus on clients’ objectives – by creating a clear strategy with outcomes that demonstrate real impact, we can accelerate their success.

“Our mission is to deliver effective marketing made simple, and this sums it up for me – thinking creatively to deliver exceptional results is at the heart of what we do.”

Kieron adds: “Celebrating our clients and telling their stories is the real win – our narrators are champions of professional marketing and put ROI at the centre of their partnerships. In this way, we build long-term relationships as our approach resonates with clients’ needs.”

These awards come on the back of success earlier in the year as Narrative were named 37th best place to work in the North East by the Journal, an initiative which is part of ncjMedia’s ‘Invest in the North East’ campaign.
