North East entrepreneurs, Joe Alexander and Morgan Stephenson alongside North West-based Paul Furlong, have launched a new adventure this week…literally. Jackpot Explorers will give people the chance to take on the adventure of a lifetime for the price of a pair of hiking socks.
Jackpot Explorers, based in Jesmond, offers a prize-draw format with entrants buying tickets for the opportunity to win amazing adventures. The launch prize is a 9-day Everest Base Camp adventure for 2 people, with a value of £10,000. Tickets are priced at £19 for an early bird ticket, rising to £24.
Joe runs Jesmond-based adventure travel business Alexander Adventures, bringing 20 years’ experience of the world of adventure travel.
Morgan and Paul are multi-award-winning film and content producers and co-founders of Movere Opus Pictures, a feature film production company. They will draw on their expertise to deliver exceptional content for the new business.
The trio share a love of adventure travel and their blend of travel and marketing expertise meant they had the right business skills to launch the new venture. They are looking to build a community of explorers, whatever their preferred outdoor experience and will also be working with young carers’ charities to give back experiences to young people.
Picking up the story, Joe said, “We know the impact that adventure travel can have on people. We also know that these days, particularly since Covid, people are looking for experiences over material possessions. But extraordinary experiences come at a cost and the three of us wanted to allow more people to have access to the sorts of trips we’ve all been fortunate enough to experience.
“We came up with the idea of giving people the opportunity to win an experience of a lifetime; something that would create a lasting and exciting memory. And that’s where the prize-draw format came from – what if people could buy a ticket for a nominal amount, for the opportunity to win something truly amazing?”
Upcoming draws will include more amazing adventure opportunities. Examples include exploring the Galápagos and Amazon Rainforest, a tour to encounter Borneo’s mountain gorillas and a South Pole trek.
Entrants can also opt for a £3.00 ticket with the chance to win high-spec kit such as a drone, tent or rucksack.
